Udon Noodle Soup

We all love some noodle soup. Even that instant ramen. The only issue is you have no control over how fresh the ingredients are and it’s salt content. With this recipe you can mix it up how you like. I like to use low sodium broths. If your brave and have a day to spare you make your own (even squeeze the noodles in). Either way this recipe is a simple dish that well be done in under 15 minutes.

Banana Bread

For us that love banana bread as a child when you woke up or came up to the house full of it smell you knew that day would end a little better. For myself I love a banana bread that has a solid but not over whelming flavor of banana and sometimes as a treat I like a bit of sweetness with chocolate chips. Anyone can make banana bread it rather simple, but a little time consuming.

There one thing that brings the meal together. That’s biscuits; no, and’s, if’s, or but’s about it. Why? Who doesn’t want too wipe there gravy smothered plate with a super light fluffy not too sweet or salty pastry. If just too dam good to resit. This is why my scale hides under my bathroom sink. No it anti coming out after whipping a batch of these. Surprisingly many people find them hard to make. I think it cause to many recipes try to hard.

Lemon Meringue Pie

Well my grandmothers birthday is January 30th and our new tradition is to make a birthday dessert. Last few years I made the same thing, so this year I decided on Lemon Meringue Pie (which is my grandmother favorite pie). I attempted this before, but just wasn’t perfect. This recipe was the best ever (with few adjustments, but heck most recipes need adjusting). The recipe is by In The Kitchen With Kate the thing that forces me to rate it four stars, because I wrote 2/3 of the recipe. Her channel is great for intermediate cooks because of the fast pace, but at the same time a complete recipe would be wonderful to rely on other then just a 6 minute video. Well as my reader I hope you didn’t mind my ranting, and enjoy the recipe!

Gingerbread Cake

A great place for recipe is Joy Of Baking a food blog run by Stephanie Jaworski a lovely mother by what I can tell from her YouTube blog. This recipe is for one of my favorite desserts during the holidays. The cake is thick, moist, and full of flavor (but I do enjoy 1/2 tsp of mixed spice just to kick it up).  Well here the rating and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as me.

DIY Clock Project

Gift giving can be tough on the mind and wallet, but Do It Yourself (DIY) projects can help. All parts were available at my local dollar store for less then $15.00 for these clocks. They were a huge hit at Christmas time and I got my self a few request for more. If interest in any of the backgrounds for the clocks (or want a background made) send me an email.
